What business problems did Veriff solve for SaleFish?

A high level of security is a key element of SaleFish’s proposition. The company needed the ability to effectively verify the identity of purchasers, to facilitate online contract generation and ensure adherence to local money laundering laws. Ease of use is also a key selling point for SaleFish, so it was important to ensure a streamlined and frictionless user experience.

The company had previously employed a solution from Jumio. At the time, the Jumio web-based solution never felt fully integrated when incorporated into SaleFish’s platform and failed to offer the kind of seamless user experience they were looking for.

It took just weeks for SaleFish to configure and fully test Veriff’s solution. It was then fully integrated into their real estate buying process.

Thanks to employing Veriff’s ID scanning and identity verification solutions, SaleFish can now offer unmatched efficiency and security for real estate transactions conducted via the platform. Not only can forms be auto populated by scanning identity documents and securing the data extracted, but SaleFish can confirm a real person is present and that their identity matches with the documents provided. All this is done in real time, minimizing friction for genuine customers and maximizing conversions, while helping to keep bad actors locked out and minimize fraud.

SaleFish also added address parsing to their tailored solution, to help streamline the completion of agreements of purchase and sale. This has saved a considerable amount of time, which SaleFish have been able to pass on to their clients. “Veriff can confirm a customer is genuine in real time now,” said Blair. “This means our teams can now sell a new home with contract generation and digital signing in less than four minutes!”
