Does the end-user have to download an app for the checks to be conducted?

No, with Veriff, all the checks can be conducted over web, mobile web, or by utilizing Veriff’s SDKs that can plug into your own app for a seamless native experience. The end-user is redirected to a verification page where they’re asked to take a photo of their identity document and a selfie, and that’s it – Veriff will take care of the rest.

What is Veriff’s approach to data security?

Data Security is of critical importance to Veriff, and encryption is used to provide optimum security. We have cryptography and encryption policies in place that list our procedures. Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 and in transit using TLS 1.2+. Corporate data in transit is encrypted using WPA2-AES. If data is required to be transferred outside the EEA, the transfer is carried out in accordance with GDPR requirements.
