Veriff is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We strive to make our identity verification solutions as accessible and inclusive as possible for everyone. That means our products are designed to accommodate the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. For example, users should be able to:

Change colours, contrast levels, and fonts
Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
Navigate most of the product using speech recognition software
Listen to most of the product using a screen reader
(including the most recent versions of Talkback and VoiceOver)
Use all accessibility features present on modern mobile devices and tablets

We have also made the product text as simple as possible to understand.

Veriff takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Veriff Identity Verification:

Include accessibility throughout our internal product development policies. For example, our standard pull request template for end user facing projects requires the developers to pay attention to and verify the accessibility whenever new features or changes are released.
Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
Include accessibility throughout design, development and iterative processes.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Android SDK is partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA.
iOS SDK is fully conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA.
Web IDV flow is fully conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA.
Hosted Verification page is fully conformant with WCAG 2.0 level AA.

Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working on to make all our products on being full conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Veriff Identity Verification, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Veriff Identity Verification:

Part of verification flow screens in mobile SDKs (Android and iOS) are only available in portrait mode. We are working on introducing landscape mode to mobile.
Inflow feedback images are missing short text description on Android.
Passport number input field on Android does not provide suggestions to user when wrong number is typed. This should not happen under normal operation as number is extracted automatically.

Users may use 3rd party help to complete verification if needed.

To assess the accessibility of our products and services we combine manual evaluation while using different accessibility features (such as Talkback, VoiceOver, screen readers, magnifiers etc) and automated checking tools like XCode Accessibility scanner, Android Accessibility scanner, AXE, WAVE etc
